Grimes

Claire Elise Boucher (bu:'SeI/boo-SHAY) born March 17, 1988. The name she is given is Grimes. There are many styles of her first music is described as "lo fi R&B" as well as "futuristic dance-pop". The artist has included elements of hip-hop electronic music and rock. Her songs often incorporate science-fiction as well as feminist themes in her songs. There have been five albums. Grimes came from Vancouver before moving to Montreal. Her first independently-based music career in the mid 2000s. In 2010 she debuted two albums via Arbutus Records, Geidi Primes (and Halfaxa), respectively. In 2012, Visions will be her third studio effort. The band was signed to 4AD. Visions contains the singles "Genesis", and "Oblivion", and was recognized with by the Juno Award in Canada for Electronic Album of the year. In the years following, she released her fourth studio album Art Angels, was released in 2015 , and was met with critical praise as several publications have rated it as the top album of the year. Miss Anthropocene was her fifth album. Grimes was also an actor and judge in Alter Ego's competitions for music, was an actress as part of Cyberpunk 2077 which was released 2020.
