Lita Rossana Ford (also known as Lita Ford) is an American-British guitarist, singer and songwriter who played as the lead guitarist in The Runaways - a hard rock group made up mostly females in the late 1970s. Following the split of the group around 1979 Ford began a successful solo career in heavy metal. She began taking vocal lessons. Her debut solo album was 'Dancing on the Edge'.
