Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a child of a mixed-race family from South London in England. Both her parents are both English. She was born on an estate in south London council estate, as a teenager, she fourteen, she attended The Brit School. She went to an academy called the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London which she graduated with an acting BA. She was a part of various stage productions during her time at school, including King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe started her acting career through the film Storm Damage. She has since made appearances in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was co-starring Colin Farrell (who played the part of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. In the following year she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she was a part of Trexx as Ollie and in six episodes of Flipside. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi role on ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She appeared in the series 2 and 3. Madekwe was the main character for How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedic comedy that was released in the year 2008. The credits on stage for Madekwe are Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut on The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes on The CW, and was eventually removed from the air. In February, she was cast 2011 as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe had appeared in all episodes of the series' initial two seasons as a regular. In May of 2013, word broke that the actress would leave the show after her guest appearance in the opening episode for its third season. Between 2014 and 2016, she starred in Salem as Tituba. Madekwe, along with her boyfriend for many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wed in June of 2012. They've collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he has also appeared alongside Madekwe on the show Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actor who was raised by the large family. Her parents were Patty and Roy Leggat. Her parents, Roy and Patty and the four brothers of her, Brett, Todd, and Bram who were also present. Ashley's brothers, who are all athletes, play baseball during the summer and played hockey in winters. Ashley was unable to walk, but danced. As a result, at the age of 2 when she was two, she began to learn about Baby Ballet. Ashley was addicted to dance immediately. Ashley continued to dance competitively throughout high school in top divisions such as ballet, tap, Jazz, Pointe, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and more. Additionally, she was awarded top soloists awards in all major dance contests, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more.
